AFC Urgent Care Belleville

I highly recommend this urgent care facility! From the moment I stepped in, the staff was exceptionally courteous, making me feel welcomed and at ease. The doctor took the time to understand my situation thoroughly, and her insights were spot on. I was seen quickly, and I was truly impressed with the quality of care I received. They handled everything with impressive efficiency—an outstanding experience overall!

Scheduling was super easy. However, it didnt matter because I was still waiting over an hour after my reservation time started. As standard practice, I paid my copay when I arrived. When I decided to leave because there was little to no movement in the waiting room an hour after my scheduled appointment, I was informed that they were unable to give me back my copay (it was on a credit card). Luckily they magically got me into a room right after that and out of the building less than 5 minutes later. The staff themselves were very nice and professional. My main complaint is that having an appointment means nothing there.

This is my second time visiting this location , I save my spot online check in process went smooth and fast I did almost all forms onlineFront desk girl was nice and helpful.I saw a female physician assistant Graciela she was great listed to my concerns and answered all my questions.Will definitely go back to this location

Everyone here was amazing. Caring and kind. The PA was excellent. Place was very clean ! Only waited 5 minutes. Highly recommend this Urgent Care ! I like that they took their time in the examination room.

Very good place. Staff is so polite and patient and very easy check in and very fast waiting time I was called in within 6 minutes after I checked in. I am very grateful that they checked if I had Covid the flu or strep throat something that my primary doctor would never do. thankfully i didn’t have any of those sicknesses but the doctor did give me cough syrup and nasal spray. Great service Keep it up!

They saved my life! I don’t usually leave reviews, but I have to this time. I was turned away from the ER and decided to go to Urgent Care. I could barely breathe, and my eyes and throat were burning. What I didn’t know was that my face and eyes were also swollen. The ER had told me I was fine. But the Urgent care doctor and staff took care of me and administered steroids and a breathing treatment. I was later informed that I had an allergic reaction that, if left untreated, could have continued to restrict my breathing or worse. I am grateful for their help and recommend them to anyone who needs real care. Amazing service.

Hello it is cold in this urgent care belleville, n.j.I saw the thermostat and it says not to touch it,plus it closed, so no one cant turn the heat. Wow horrible. I took a picture of it.

Where do I begin? This was my first and last time going to this urgent care. The Physician Assistant was hostile and repeatedly asking questions after I answered them since he must have not been happy with my responses or was forgetting/not listening to my responses. Symptoms and patients are not one size fits all. Questions he asked were not one word responses for me since I have several reasons (surgery and medications) that are factors. While I do appreciate that he apologized for being “aggressive” in his own words, I do not think a woman or anyone should be spoken to in such an angry way while they are sick. He was also arguing about my surgery that I had done 7 years ago saying that it was a different procedure than I said. Learn to listen better, learn some bedside manner, and be kind. You are in the wrong profession or desperately need to retire.

I saw Dr. Mike he was phenomenal, he actually listened and cares his assistant was so sweet and the front desk girl she was very nice as well. Definitely would recommend this facility.

This was my first time at an urgent care clinic I give it 5 starts because from reception area to the doctor on staff everything was excellent

Urgent Care Staff very friendly. They were professional and I was called right on my appointment time.

I was referred to the Belleville, NJ AFC by the Clifton, NJ AFC because x-rays were not available at Clifton, NJ that day. Outstanding service! Quick, professional, and friendly! They dont have you waiting for !+ hours with an empty waiting room and exam rooms because they are too busy socializing at work in the back like the Bloomfield, NJ AFC. I highly recommend the Belleville, NJ and Clifton, NJ AFC locations! Bloomfield not so much.

I made an appointment for today at 8:05. The website said to come 10 mins before my appointment. The doors were locked and no one was inside. AT ABOUT 805- a car pulls in- an office worker hurries into the office to come and unlock the doors and told me they cant let me in and the doors remain locked until the provider is on site.Dodged a bullet- I will never consider this place again.

I had such a pleasant experience today at this urgent care! No wait, staff was so nice and efficient the physician was great. Definitely going back if need be! Hoping i dont Have to soon but if i need To it will be here!

Went to this place I was feeling sick and bad symptoms, I was the only one there. The Dr or PA took forever to see me, then when she finally saw me she barley walked in the room she opened the door and stood at the door almost out of it, like if she was in a rush and simply said she couldn’t help me it was viral and I had to let my body get rid of it. She didn’t check my breathing my heart beat nothing she was like if she didn’t want to help or be there.

The tv was so loud and it was so disturbing to our ears. The volume shouldn’t be so loud in the clinics where sick people comes and goes please. The front desk girl looked slightly unprofessional and incompetent.Is your “provider” board certified Doctors? Or nurses that has proper training and qualifications to prescribe medication. Nurses even referred her (African female )as “Our provider“ but she didn’t introduce herself nor did she have a badge. I didn’t want to be rude but now that I think I should have asked her name and her title as I should.

I was in and out in 20 minutes, pre check in makes the experience so smooth. I have been there and also taken my daughter. Very pleasant staff, I trusted the doctors diagnosis.

I left the urgent care on Washington Avenue, Belleville feeling extremely mad and hurt and headed to an actual hospital emergency room. Our first experience was very disappointing. My autistic son had a severe ear pain so we rush to the nearest urgent care thinking it would be quicker than the hospital. While the waiting time was not bad (40m) The doctor was extremely unprofessional and extremely rude from the second he entered the room. From The way he was looking at us and at our son I knew something was not right. . He didnt check my son properly. He didnt even check both ears nor his throat. He didnt even touch him. He said that the ear, he barely checked, had blood and its most likely an ear infection and left the room. We felt very offended by his behavior. We felt extremely discriminated against. Its either because we are from a minority group or worst because my son is autistic and Dr. Michael J Stein refrained from seeing him and treating him as he should. We are patients and citizens like every body else . We payed for The visit. Dr. Stein is not doing us any favor. His job is to attend all patients equally. We didnt even see a smile from him just weird mean attitude. The only good thing in there is the staff. The nurse was much more nice To us than the doctor ! Never again!

After being rejected at other urgent cares because my son was to young I was so thankful to find this urgent care the wait isn’t too long , they explain everything thoroughly & they made me feel at ease leaving … everyone is great from the front desk to the nurse to the doctor! Thank you !

From the reception to the doctor appointment, everyone was kind, caring and professional. My first time there for an emergency and I really appreciate how well they took care of me.

So they charged me for a specialist as my co payBut i did not see any specialist i seen a nurse practitioner.. not that what i needed she could not help with but charging me for a specialist and seen a nurse practitioner is a straight up insurance fraud...over charging $25 dollars on every ones copay is straight up robbery as well

I went there for preemploee drug screen test and staffs were fast, accurate and kind enough to explain what to do.Good to have a good urgent care in town when you need their help!

Most of the staff is friendly- place was completely empty- nurse practitioner did most of the work, took vitals, asked questions. Doctor came in- didn’t introduce herself and did absolutely nothing- had to ask her to retake blood pressure- only went off what nurse practitioner had checked (the nurse practitioner was extremely friendly and asked all the right questions). Overall- don’t think I’ll ever go back- doctors demeanor felt unprofessional, unbothered and quite honestly she didn’t really seem to give two craps. I was “discharged” without paper work and with a “perhaps go to the emergency room”. Would love to see what she would’ve have done if I had collapsed in front of her, based off what I saw I’m sure she’d be googling what to do- and after looking at all the reviews- my experience seems to be in-line with this “nameless” doctor

It was an incredibly positive experience for our first time there. The staff was exceptionally friendly and supportive, and the entire process was completed in less than 45 minutes. The doctors took great care to ensure that my 2-year-old son was comfortable during his visit. We left with a lasting positive impression, and I am grateful for their professionalism and efficiency.

I was running a fever the night before and had an asthma attack. I knew Covid was around again so I went to AFC in Belleville for testing. I had an excellent experience. From the receptionist, the Medical Assistant Arlene and the nurse practioner Tim. Everyone was kind. Tim especially understood my fear of being hospitalized due to my comorbidities. Prescribed medication profilactically to try to avoid hospitalization if my Covid PCR came back positive. Highly recommend this facility.

Love it!!!! First time taking my grandson to AFC Urgent Care in Belleville. Location neat and clean. The employees absolutely kind, courteous and professional. The medical intake employee wonderful. The medical assistant understanding and patience with him great!! The doctor took her time examining and explaining his diagnosis and any questions I had she answered she is very kind. This is the place to go for your urgent care needs.

These urgent care facilities are the best thing that has happened to this country. What wouldve normally taken hours wait at any local hospital for a serious but non emergent injury, took mins to get me seen by a doctor and out of the door with a diagnosis, shot and prescription all under 30 mins. The staff were kind and professional and doctor was very knowledgeable and it was just s breath of fresh air. I went to the one one Washington Ave in Belleville where the old QuickChek used to be. This will be our familys go to for non emergent care from now on!

Not sure how this place has high reviews. Needed an X-ray but the machine apparently was broken and then was told there was no technician. The lady from the front desk was able to take the X-ray after waiting an hour when there werent any patients there. Wanted the X-ray and was told to come back when they called me. I went home. They did call and I came back to pick up the X-ray (with a broken foot) and was told WE DONT GIVE XRAYS (like the actual X-ray). Why lie to patients?

Place was clean, staff was ok, Dr came in, did not introduced herself I had to ask if she was Dr. she left to get prescription, never came back , after waiting in room for 15 min I came out, and asked what was taking g so long and, to my surprise, they forgot I was in the room. Girl in front had no idea I was still there. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have to say outside of the annoying paperwork my visit to this urgent care facility was quite pleasant. Everybody was polite and professional. I felt very comfortable.

While feeling horribly ill, I made it to the AFC office. The front desk admin, was kind, patient and knowledgeable. I was seen by the tech/nurse and doctor within a reasonable time. They too were kind, professional and knowledgeable. Best experience, thank you all...

Went in for a swollen hand from a cut. The doctor walked in and kept her 6 foot Covid restriction distance. She had me extend my arm and looked at my hand from a distance. I don’t know how you can be a doctor and properly examine a patient from 6 feet away? This doctor didn’t make me feel like she was confident.. she seemed a little nervous and a little unsure of herself. I also informed the nurse that while I was there, I would like for the doctor to take a look at another issue, but by the time we were finished with the problem concerning the hand I lost all confidence in this location. I am definitely not going to come back to this location and consult my Physician.

If there is a negative star I’d definitely give them one. The service is ok, but the mode of communication is terrible. I had a PPD skin test here and as per results it’s within 72 hours to have the skin checked. I paid out of pocket for this. I called them and asked if I can come in to have it checked, and they said they won’t be able to accommodate me because it past the given time. I understand that but before I left the clinic I confirmed with the MA that on Thursday at what time? And she said after 3 is fine and I repeated what she stated and she agreed. Now I called them to get it checked and they said I have to wait a week and get another skin test because they can’t accommodate me. There is no nurses on this site. I also didn’t see a MD there. All they have are Medical Assistants. And they’re rude to talk to on the phone they do not understand why you’re frustrated with the whole situation. The out of pocket payment doesn’t bother me but it’s the way these so called professionals talk to you like a know it all. Just awful.

New and clean facility. Staff members very friendly. Waiting time was minimum. Overall we are very happy with our experience there. Will come back more often when will need it.Thank you for taking care of us so nicely.

Im in between feelings with this place.When I went in the first time, (on a weekend) because my child was sick, everything they did was fast and professional. But I had to go back 3 days later since my childs fever was not going away. I understand how a virus works, fevers can stay from 2 to 4 days. But she had high fevers for 5 days straight now and I know something was wrong. Took her back and the Doctor that was there that day said why is she here she has the Flu with an attitude. I looked at her and I told her to check her ears. I had to tell her! She had an bad infection on her left side, why it wasnt caught on the 1st time?! Guess it wasnt red enough. But this doc had the nerver to tell me oh good catch. Like really! Thats your job to catch it not mine. Never again, Ill just wait to see her primary Dr.

My husband took my son at the beginning of the week. They supposedly tested him(cotton swab in nose and throat)to see if anything came up positive and they said everything was negative. Took him to his primary to just find out he was positive for Strep. He couldve had his antibiotics already if they checked correctly. Will not be returning.

Their hours start at 8 am I scheduled an online spot for 8:40 am , but when I arrived the doors were lock. Apparently they dont let anyone in until a physician is in the facility. If this is the case then , they shouldnt post their open hours as of 8 am , or let schedule sessions if they dont have their stuff in office as of 8 am .

I visited AFC Urgent Care in Belleville on a Tuesday evening feeling very sick. They ran some tests and diagnosed me with the flu and with strep throat. I was seen by the physicians assistant and by the doctor. The doctor explained the seriousness of the situation and sent some prescriptions electronically to my pharmacy. I was treated very well at AFC Belleville and I am very grateful for the medical care I received from them that evening.

I called ahead to see if they work on rashes. They replied yes. I sign in and wait almost 3 hours before called. Doctor entered the room and said there is nothing she can do. I leave and get a $120 bill. For what????

The staff was very friendly and professional, they made my daughter feel confident, they immediately attended to her discomfort. Within a few hours, I noticed improvement in her after the medicine they administered and the one they sent to the pharmacy.
