I transitioned from Tia San Francisco and because I love the mission and treatment so much I had to choose Tia in the LA area when I moved. This experience did not disappoint! Parking was a bit weird but that’s my only complaint. Thanks Tia Culver City for your excellent care!

So far I have had a disappointing experience. I paid a membership fee hoping for more hands on care but instead had a rushed office visit and have had a really hard time getting in touch with the provider. On top of that, it’s been several days and no lab results. I had quicker and more attentive service at a conventional clinic and will likely return to getting care there.I will say the front staff is very courteous and helpful — I have had no issues with them.

The nurse practitioners here at Tia Culver City are great. Across the board, they are warm, kind, respectful, and thoughtful. Natalie in particular was a gem. She made us feel very calm and welcome, laughing with us and offering me a cotton ball soaked with lavender oil to calm me down. The desk staff are also very kind, very patient and helpful. However, almost every single doctor I’ve seen has been dismissive, condescending, and some have even been rude. You get the sense that you are wasting their time by coming in. There are also many technical problems that result in appointment links not being sent or being sent multiple times or the wrong link being sent. And when that happens and you come in for an “unnecessary” appointment, they make it seem like it’s your fault, that you’re the one in the wrong. Very defensive energy, a distinct lack of genuine compassion. I even heard one of them sigh (perhaps in frustration?) when they asked me if I had any questions at the end of the visit and I actually had questions. When I messaged the Care Coordinator about making an appointment for a procedure, they said that I got it already when I hadn’t, making it clear that they did not take the time to actually look into my records before corresponding with me. I don’t know if it’s just the Culver City location or if this is the case across the board, but the doctors here do not seem to uphold the values of the company. I did not feel comfortable there as a Black woman, I felt like I was treated worse than at my old, university health center. Very disappointing, and frankly hurtful.

I was super excited to join and got an offer for 6 months membership fee waived. It didnt apply to my account and when I wrote to ask about it they said You should just be able to sign up. Well, the offer was last week by the time they got back to me and it didnt work and they just avoided that part of the question. When I call the local branch they have no idea what Im talking about and its impossible to get a hold of corporate. After reading these other reviews Im glad they failed to sign me up easily. Bye Tia, you lost another customer.

I was excited to see that there was a health clinic more focused on women, but the execution is falling short here. Areas where it really doesnt matter (free beverages in the lobby, cute interior) are great, where the essential services of a functioning doctors office are anywhere from awful and disorganized to about the same as a regular office.I felt I got about the same time with my primary care doctor in an annual visit as when I had one in a previous state. It still felt vaguely rushed and get to the point. Felt like some of the common issues that women bring up, like digestion issues and bloating, are written off as stress or maybe IBS, with no follow-up or assistance. I didnt see anything in the execution that indicated to me that they are more focused on womens health.Additionally, for a

I was really excited about Tia’s messaging about holistic women’s health, as it felt like a breath of fresh air from what so many of us are used to experiencing with our doctors. However, I was extremely disappointed with their service both during an appointment and via follow-up communication. As other reviews have noted, they start with a telehealth consultation that costs >$300 as most insurance won’t cover it, and all I received via that appointment was a prescription and recommendation to make an in-person appointment. When I finally did come in person for long-term GI symptoms, the provider worried me about needing to see a specialist asap and then took over a week to submit a referral (and that was only after I followed up several times). Additionally, when my bloodwork finally came back, there was no detailed explanation or next steps besides just a message in the chat that it was “normal”. Overall, very poor bedside manner and admin communication, particularly from a place marketing itself to be the opposite. I immediately cancelled my subscription and won’t be back.

Finally a place who understand woman exclusively. Excellent service and staff. Very prompt, with near zero waiting time at the facility. Most insurances are accepted. Would definitely recommend to become a member of Tia.

I’ve been a member of Tia for two years, and unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Despite having PPO insurance that should cover my care, I was wrongly billed $150 for a visit to a Tia specialist, months after the fact. When I contacted both Tia and my insurance company, they gave conflicting information and failed to resolve the issue. After months of follow-ups with no updates, Tia went ahead and charged my card without authorization, even though the charge was still under dispute.Beyond the billing issues, the quality of care has been lacking. You never see a doctor, only nurse practitioners, which feels inadequate for more serious health concerns. Overall, this service feels more like a business trying to exploit women’s health needs rather than providing real, compassionate care. I’ve since canceled my membership and would not recommend Tia to others.

I really wanted to like this place. It is impossible to contact anyone at any time. It says it can take three days to respond to a message and the phone number takes you to voicemail.I logged in 7 minutes early to my appointment. I was thinking GREAT, Im logging in early! To my surprise there is a 15 minute check in questions before they will connect you to your appointment. So, I was late to my appointment (while franticly filling out their surprise questionnaire) and they cancelled my appointment. Tried calling, tried messaging to no avail to speak to a real person. I just got a LONG winded, auto response saying it was my fault and I will be paying a no show fee of $50!! EVEN THOUGH I WAS THERE! ON THIER SIGHT READY FOR MY APPOINTMENT EARLY.I want a full refund this place is all automated and very impersonal.

So far I’m really really loving my experience at Tia Culver City. After YEARS of struggling to find primary care that feels right, it finally seems like I’ve landed at the perfect place. So far I’ve had one virtual appointment and one in person appointment & they’ve both gone seamlessly. Everything is so efficient & everyone has been so professional & kind.Parking is $2 an hour just up the street in a convenient structure, but Tia validates if you’re under an hour.

Done with this place. They let me be without my SSRIs for days while ignoring dozens of calls and online messages. This borders on malpractice. Everyone knows how dangerous it is to drop off an SSRI cold turkey. Incredibly irresponsible and cruel. The only thing that gets a company to care is if something affects their bottom line. You think they’d want to keep their patients alive for that reason alone. Until then, encouraging everyone who reads this to not sign up for this sham of a “wellness” center. I used to be very enthusiastic about this place.

I have been waiting nearly a month for lab results because Tia sent the lab the wrong fax number, despite calling 10-15 times in the last month and then finally they say they have my labs, but days later still have not sent them. I don’t have insurance I pay out of pocket, I paid 360$ to see a hematologist just to have the labs needed for the appointment not sent to me my tia physician or my hematologist. Because they sent the wrong fax number and spelled my last name wrong so I couldn’t even get my labs from quest directly like usual. What an absolutely disappointing unprofessional incompetent place.

Not just about this location, but tia in general sends out prescriptions to pharmacy that are rare and take multiple days to fill, when there are many alternatives in stock. Upon following up asking if they can change it to something most pharmacies have (im talking CVS not mom & pop) the doctor is not in. ive been waiting days for a multiple prescriptions to be changed because of how uncommon they are. Neither I or the pharmacy has been able to get ahold of the doctor. this to me screams green and unseasoned. id go elsewhere for a GP.their referral network is great but i have reason to believe their staff does not have work experience outside of TIA. please learn medications and answer the phone.

I was two minutes late to my appointment, one of which I’ve waited ages to schedule. The way I was treated was extremely inhumane. If you come to this location please account for parking a few blocks away. The confirmation texts they send do not offer this information up front nor are you told your appointment will be cancelled should you be late. The most surprising thing to me about the experience is, I had a extreme concern I wanted to be seen for and was not informed that my appointment would only be twenty minutes long which does not seem very normal when it comes to a true diagnosing appointment. I have never been given a time cap for a doctors visit, until I came here…Their Marketing team is great but I’m afraid the physicians are disingenuous. The woman working the phone was extremely careless in my opinion and refused to help me because she didn’t like my tone (I had been crying because I was unaware my appointment would be cancelled after rushing to beat traffic and make it there in time).I’m still waiting on a manager to call meabout my experience. I would not recommend using this service or visiting this location if you are looking for true quality care and a human experience

They are scammers and bill your insurance for things that are supposed to be free. Well woman exams are free and charged my insurance for my daughter 303 dollars oh and did the billing AFTER she cancelled her membership. Update: dropping my review to 1 star. months later i just got the bill for my 1 time intro telehealth appointment that wasnt at all comprehensive (filled 2 urgent perscriptions and took maybe 15 minutes and couldnt address my other pressing needs because they refused an in person appointment) and they billed my insurance almost $500 for it. This place is a SCAM. Like thats more than an urgent care visit out of pocket. They even called that rate an insurance discount do not trust your health to them despite their shiny marketing campaign. I wasnt allowed to have in person appointments so they just tack on these extra ones to scam your insurance. Im sure youll get stuck with the bill when the insurance finally stops paying these insane inflated rates.I really really wanted to like this place. But they are problematic just like all the other Drs out there. They only do the cheap versions of things like sti testing that requires a blood draw rather than a finger prick. Push services that arent covered and are overpriced and their drs are booked out too far to be of any real help. I have a recent back injury and they tried to tell me it would be a month for appointments and then I said that was unacceptable and I had to go to a less suited provider and it was still a week out. God forbid I need help now. All of this on literally first day with them never again.

I was very disappointed with the service. I had to pay $240 for an initial online visit of 15 minutes. The doctor on the call did not even seem to care.I did not find the doctors helpful in any way and they seemed less knowledgeable than other doctors I’ve been to. They say they treat the whole you but as soon as I expressed a concern they gave me a referral to go someplace else. Never had so much issues with billing. The back and forth with all those texts and emails is endless. It’s the most difficult and annoying experience I ever had for a simple blood test.

This place is a scam. They way over charge for everything and then wait months to surprise you with an unpaid bill. The way they operate their business and define charges is super shady plus you have to pay a monthly charge. It’s just not worth it. Women’s health care shouldn’t have to cost this much
