Planned Parenthood - Paterson Center

This place is an absolute joke. Never have struggled more with just simple testing. Went in about four weeks ago and still haven’t gotten my results. Have called them at least twice a day for the last week and a half and only got answered twice. Once they told me my results were in which they weren’t so they straight up lied to me & the second they told me a nurse would call me back that day, which never happened! I work in Canvassing for a charity that highly supports Planned Parenthood but this location specifically is so unprofessional and a joke. Literally go to any other location. They should just shut down at this point. Would give them negative stars if I could this place should be making sexual health a easy priority for safe reliable testing within a reasonable amount of time and they do not have that.

I was a little worried after seeing negative reviews about the people working the desk, but in my experience, everyone was super nice and patient with me. The GAHT coordinators are incredibly kind as well.

While the clinician I see is fantastic, in the the past few months the handling of the gender-affirming care has gone vastly downhill, and seems like an after-thought to PP. I am currently hunting for a new provider because of this.The previous GAHT coordinator Avery was amazing, but after their mysterious disappearance from the company, the new coordinator has been difficult and unhelpful. Avery had a vast amount of resources and ran a support group-- both of which have disappeared without explanation, and yet signage with Averys info for the support group is still hanging.Other fun issues include:* Last time I was there, I also got to experience staff shouting angrily down the hall to one another about needing paperwork for blood-work, while I sat in the waiting room to see the clinician. Really wish I had gotten that recorded, to be honest.* PPMNJ some reason they only schedule appointments out for 1 month at a time, making scheduling a nightmare, especially if you need to coordinate visits with work.* The first time I visited (early 2023), I nearly had a panic attack because I showed up for my 10am appointment nobody was there, and the doors were locked. They only opened the doors around 10:15am, after I had been standing outside for 30 minutes and trying to call with no answers. Staff saw me waiting outside as they trickled in late, but said nothing to me.

Every staff member is extremely helpful and considerate. I can’t thank all of the nurses enough. Yuri was especially helpful with my situation and found me the assistance I needed.

If I can give this place a ZERO I would!! Horrible customer service by Bethany A., has no phone etiquette, unprofessional, and even laughed during our conversation. She was very unhelpful. This is who speaks with patients on a daily? Please get new staff before you lose more patients. I will not be returning to this location.

Ive been coming to this office since 2018. I had a good experience with the staff until my last visit. For some odd reason on my last visit I was treated horrible, the two ladies behind the desk were rude, disrespectful and very unprofessional. I am extremely disgusted by their behavior to the point that I will never go to their office again. After my horrible experience, I called to speak with the manager, they pretended to transfer the call but never did and maded seem like I was speaking with the manager. After I was done stating what had happened, they made fun of me and told they were the same people that had treated me poorly. I dont understand why people like that end up working at places where great customer service is required. Bad people, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Maybe they have updated the staff but these are some of the most helpful people I have met. Going early might also be the reason for there is less traffic. The doctors and nurses were careful with every patient making sure they felt comfortable. This can be a scary place for many people and I think the staff handled it well.

Staff are very nice. Everyone is very helpful they actually explain what you need to know, & place is always clean including restrooms

They never answer the phone and certain appointments you can’t make online and forces you to call. I will change the rating once they correct this

The staff are very kind and caring. They care for the patient professionally, discreetly and intellectually. The women at the front desk are especially wonderful! We are blessed to have all of them to care for us..

My daughter made an appointment to get an implant removed and she went to the appointment they made her wait more than an hour and then told her to leave because the machine to remove the implant was dirty and the person that cleans it didn’t have time to clean it. So they couldn’t tell her this before she went and wasted her time and she lost a day of work for this! Terrible people!

Bad service, they said my appointment was a timeand after they said another. The staff have a bad attention, very slow to attend the patient and always have problems there. Very bad experience and bad service I never go back. I dont know if they think that the service is free.

I had a appointment at 1:10 pm arrived 10 min earlier and Ive had wait for them to call me in its 2pm now and Im still waiting . Theres is just one more person waiting I dont understand what the hold up is. How long does it take to see a patient. Its really unprofessional to keep all these ppl waiting for so long if its not that busy . Also , Ive came here in the past and they had tons of ppl in the waiting room .I can understand the wait for that but now its not and they still take so long for u to get seen by the doctor.and the ppl at the desk dont give u a time when I will be seen .

I went to get tested at this clinic and let me just say MAJORITY of clinics and doctors offices (if not all) will call you back to tell you your results. I went a week and a half without getting a call phone call concerning my results and had to call in myself for them to tell me “we dont call in unless it’s positive”. If thats not the definition of laziness idk what is. I was never told if they dont call back then my results were negative. Unprofessional.

This is by far the worse medical office ive ever been too how you open at 9 but your employees come in at 930 why even give appointments before 10 if no one is going to be in

I don’t know why this place has such bad reviews, I made an appointment because i was due to change my IUD everyone there was so nice specially the obgyn she explained everything and made me feel so comfortable

Never met a group of girls so rude. I go for my depo shot every 3 months and theres always an issue and/or snotty attitude coming from at least one of them. They need more staff in the back and less in the front. They 4-5 girls at the desk and it takes me forever to get called in.

This place sucks. They are stupid sexist. They would just give free HPV vaccines to women. I am a 21 year old male who wants to go to college. I needed that vaccines but this place would rudely tell me to pay 500 dollars to see a medical doctor, just because I dont have a vagina. I hate them so badly !

I will never come out here ever again its hard is too find this place my appointment was at 10:30 got here 15 minutes after that the same grace period they give you any other planned parenthood never again i would make a appointment with them ever 😏

I would definitely come back here. Everyone was so nice to me and the wait wasnt that long.

Terrible! Im going to find out my process to remove my implant. I told the receptionist that I had a removal process in NY and that they couldnt because it was something more complicated and she still told me that there was no problem and she scheduled my appointment and told me that it would only cost me 120 dollars The next day when I go to my appointment they tell me that the value is 490 dollars and finally tell me that it could not be done because it was still very fresh from my previous attempt to remove it so why the receptionist said yes and scheduled me the appointment, they waste time and money for nothing and they dont even apologize and ignore it.In addition, the attention of the receptionist was super rude.

Those attitudes when answering the phone are the worst, not letting people talk, its not because its Paterson but unfortunately we have the worst people in customer service

They offer all the planning facilities for free or at a low cost for those women who do not know how to take care of an unwanted pregnancy. They do not have to despair. They help you and give you solutions and options. Also all the exams that you need.

I have been going to this place for 8 years, the doctor is very good, they explain everything to you, they help you, there is no parking, you can make an appointment online and the hours are varied.

Excellent service !!!They give you exams, gynecology, methods to avoid pregnancy, they guide you about abortion and adoption
